HMAE Leads the Community Section of the Parade

On July 4, 2026, the Hinsdale Multicultural Arts & Education Association joined the Village of Hinsdale’s annual Independence Day Parade as the community celebrated the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Families of All Ages Walk with HMAE in the Parade

Families, students, seniors, volunteers, and friends walked together with HMAE, bringing flags, music, smiles, and HMAE’s message—One Community • Many Cultures—to the parade route. The morning offered a joyful opportunity for people of different ages and backgrounds to participate together in one of Hinsdale’s longstanding community traditions.

Following the parade, HMAE representatives joined other community members at Burlington Park for the groundbreaking ceremony for the future Burlington Park Pavilion.

The Burlington Park Pavilion Groundbreaking Ceremony

The privately funded pavilion project was initiated in 2026 to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary while creating a lasting public gathering place for community performances, celebrations, and programs. Its design includes architectural elements inspired by Hinsdale’s historic Memorial Building and is intended to complement the character of Burlington Park.

HMAE was honored to witness this important step in the development of a new shared community space. Participating in the parade and attending the groundbreaking reflected two closely connected parts of community life: celebrating together and investing in places where people can continue to meet, learn, and build relationships for years to come.
