Youth Programs
Real-world experience opportunities that help young people build communication, creativity, leadership, service, and future-ready skills.
Growing Through Real-World Experience
HMAE Youth programs give young people opportunities to learn by doing. Students develop skills through real projects, community participation, teamwork, creative work, and service.
Programs are designed to help youth move gradually from learning and practice to independent responsibility, leadership, and peer mentoring.
Youth Reporters & Community Stories
LYoung people learn interviewing, writing, photography, video production, and storytelling while documenting the people and stories of their community.
AI & Future Skills
Programs that help youth understand AI, technology, critical thinking, creativity, responsible use of new tools, and the skills needed for a changing future.
Communication & Media
Hands-on opportunities to build public speaking, interviewing, writing, photography, video editing, media production, and digital communication skills.
Leadership & Service
Experiences that help young people practice teamwork, responsibility, community service, project coordination, and leadership in real settings.
Special Projects
Longer-term passion projects that allow students to explore an idea deeply, solve problems, create something meaningful, and carry a project from concept to completion.
From Learning to Leadership
HMAE Youth programs are designed as a progression. Students may begin by learning a new skill, then practice through small projects, contribute to real community work, take responsibility for larger tasks, and eventually help guide newer participants.
The goal is not only to complete projects, but to help young people become confident communicators, independent thinkers, collaborative team members, and responsible leaders.
Keep Growing. Keep Contributing.
Whether you are interested in media, technology, community service, creative projects, or leadership, HMAE offers opportunities to learn, contribute, and grow through real-world experience.
